Introduction to Trauma-Informed Education: CARE Community Classroom Webinar Series
Hosted by the Louisiana Childhood Adversity Resilience Education Network and Whole Health Louisiana
The virtual presentation will provide information on the impact of childhood adversity on students’ education and school and classroom culture, best practices for trauma-informed approaches to education, and strategies to recognize and prevent secondary traumatic stress in school employees.
The presentation will be followed by a facilitated peer discussion tailored for educators, school personnel, and administrators. It will provide an interactive space to reflect on the presentation, share real classroom examples, and learn from colleagues across Louisiana.
Continuing education for this event is available for nursing, social work, and licensed professional counselors. Certificates of attendance are available by request.
